“Completion of the First-Ever Garden Curator Professional Course in Korea”

중앙사회서비스원 인천청년미래센터는 바네사가든㈜와 함께 총 16회차에 걸친 식물 전문 관리 교육 프로그램을 운영해 고립·은둔 청년들을 대상으로 ‘가든큐레이터 1기’ 과정을 진행했다. 참가한 청년들은 다양한 식물의 특징과 생육 환경에 대한 이론 수업과 실습을 체계적으로 배우며 전문 식물 관리 역량을 갖춘 신진 가든큐레이터로 성장했다.

The Incheon Youth Future Center of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, in collaboration with Vanesa Garden Co., Ltd., conducted a 16-session professional plant care training program for socially withdrawn youth, launching the first cohort of the “Garden Curator” course. Through systematic theory classes and hands-on practice on various plant characteristics and growing environments, the participating youths developed professional plant care skills and grew into emerging garden curators.

바네사가든은 중앙사회서비스원 인천청년미래센터에서 고립·은둔 청년들을 대상으로 4월부터 식물원예수업을 진행하고 있다. 국내 최초로 가든 큐레이터 1기 과정을 운영하며, 청년들이 식물과 교감하고 사회에 한 발짝 더 다가갈 수 있도록 돕고 있다. 이번 프로그램은 청년들의 정서적 안정과 사회적 연결에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있다.

Vanessa Garden has been conducting horticultural classes at the Incheon Youth Future Center of the Central Social Service Agency since April, targeting isolated and reclusive young people. As Korea’s first Garden Curator program, it helps these youths interact with plants and take a step closer to society.
